Tourism: $1.151 Billion Economic Impact

New passport regulations, rising fuel costs and the increased strength of the Canadian dollar against the US dollar didn’t have much effect on the local tourism industry in 2005. Victoria managed to meet a 3% projected increase for the year bringing total tourism revenues to over $1.151 billion.
